Smart Wearables
Creating apps for wearable devices is a complete separate league. These apps are tougher to make due to the smaller screen size. These devices also work in a different context than mobile phone apps:
- constant connection to the human body
- constant movement of the humans
- other functionalities offered by the device, other types of sensors
So it requires a complete different design approach. We thoroughly understand this at Appdnd where we follow a minimalistic design approach to create engaging user experiences for wearable apps.
At Appdnd we can provide solutions for the 2 main wearable brands:
- Wear OS by Google
- WatchOS by Apple
Platforms
Wear OS by Google
Wear OS by Google and previously called Android Wear, is a version of Google’s Android operating system designed for smartwatches and other wearables.

WatchOS by Apple
WatchOS is the mobile operating system of the Apple Watch, developed by Apple Inc. It is based on the iOS operating system and has many similar features. It was released on April 24, 2015, along with the Apple Watch, the only device that runs watchOS.
